Indicative Total Remuneration: $125,116 - $133,705 (pro rata) - Temp P/T (19 hrs p/wk, up to 30/6/2023) - RN/RM3
You will be responsible and accountable for the comprehensive coordination of care provided to patients with prostate cancer. The main focus of this role is the provision of supportive nursing care that is delivered across the care continuum in a seamless and continuous pattern for each individual. You will ensure that the care and services provided is based on best practice principles and delivered in accordance with the Policies and Procedures of the Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN) and SA Health. You will be required to perform as a consultant and role model, providing leadership to other nursing staff and health professionals. You will also play a pivotal role in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating the Prostate Care Program. You will accept accountability for your nursing practice, the outcomes of nursing practices for prostate cancer patients, the professional advice given, delegations of care made, and for addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.
You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You will demonstrate an advanced level of skill in cancer or urological nursing, and bring relevant experience in advanced practice with respect to the management of men with Prostate Cancer (and/or oncology nursing experience). Along with effective leadership skills, you will possess highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation. You will also bring the ability to engage with Aboriginal communities/consumers in a culturally appropriate manner.
