You will contribute to the state-wide provision of high level child and adolescent Cardiology care and advice, and to be an expert resource for patients, families, health care professionals, educational institutions and the community across South Australia. Working in consultation with key stakeholders, you will implement and coordinate the transfer of all inpatient and outpatient neonates, infants, children and adolescents to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and other cardiac specific Australian Centres for cardiac surgery, interventional cardiac catheters, EP studies and cardiac transplant care. You will implement and coordinate a comprehensive state-wide plan to ensure effective service delivery and management of children and adolescents with complex congenital and/or acquired heart disease, who are managed at home. You will also be responsible for providing expert cardiac-specific clinical nursing to infants, children and adolescents with Congenital Heart Disease and acquired heart disease in SA.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. Demonstrating advanced level nursing practice in the care and management of cardiac patients, you will bring the ability to work as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Prior experience in developing policies, procedures and models of care in the relevant area of clinical practice will be ideal.
