You will provide high level clinical nursing expertise patients of the Adult Mental Health Service in the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. Providing comprehensive assessment of health status including history and physical examination, you will undertake the clinical management of patients either directly or by delegation. You will have the scope to initiate interventional therapies, medications, use of health appliances or equipment, and admit and discharge patients from services. As an expert practitioner, you will be practicing at an advanced level with an expanded scope of practice, and with an advanced degree of autonomy and clinical decision making. You will be eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate with the notation of Nurse Practitioner. Demonstrating an advanced level of nursing practice in the care and management of adult mental health patients, you will have the ability to work as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also have proven experience in the supervision of student nurses, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses.
