You will provide direct nursing care to patients in the Theatre setting at Clare Hospital. Working on a shift by shift basis, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. Practising as a Registered Nurse within a nursing model established to support patient-centred care. It is expected that you will provide support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing basic nursing care. You will accept accountability for your own standards of nursing care and for activities delegated to others.

You will need to be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With experience in providing person-centred nursing and midwifery care, you will be competent in acute and theatre setting. Effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will be essential. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a rural health setting.
