You will provide advanced nursing services in a primary health care setting, developing, implementing and evaluating strategies and programs in order to achieve optimal health outcomes for Community Health Nursing clients. You will undertake clinical management of nursing clients including allocation to and management of rounds, as well as providing direct nursing care. You will be accountable for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. Promoting continuity and consistency of care, you will contribute to the implementation of practice changes and undertake service management responsibilities. These will include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will have demonstrated competence in community nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. You will use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures and in a variety of settings within the community.
