You will use your clinical knowledge and experience to provide the pivotal coordination of patient care delivery within the Operating Theatre at the Whyalla Hospital. The main focus of your role will be the line management, coordination and leadership of nursing and multidisciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient care and outcomes. You will accept accountability for the outcomes of nursing practices and multidisciplinary outcomes within each specific practice setting, addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy, and developing team performance and a positive work culture in the interest of patient outcomes. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. Demonstrating a broad range of nursing experience and competence in accordance with appropriate standards of practice, and prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will possess effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation. These skills will equip you to foster a work environment that develops staff potential and facilitates creativity and innovation.
