Joining a great team environment in the fabulous coastal location of Wallaroo, you will contribute to the provision of high quality person-centred nursing care aimed at improving patient health outcomes.
Successful applicant must have recent perioperative experience and be able to participate in on call roster.
Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups. It is expected that you will provide support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing basic nursing care. Wallaroo Hospital and Health Services is part of the Yorke and Lower North Health Services. Our hospital is a 21 bed complex and is located with a seven bed private hospital. We have inpatient care in general medicine for adults and children, as well as palliative care. There is 24-hour accident and emergency coverage provided by nurses on site, with general practitioners on call.
You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. Demonstrating competence in a range of practice settings, which may include medical, surgical, paediatrics and Accident and Emergency, you will have effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
