Working under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will assist with providing high quality nursing care aimed at improving patient health outcomes. Maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team, you will implement appropriate nursing care and assist with general and specialised procedures from nursing care plans. You will plan and prioritise your own work program to achieve defined outcomes and exercise judgment when it is required to solve problems arising in your work area. You will provide verbal and documented information within your scope of practice to patients, other health care team members, and members of the public, and contribute to your professional expertise by maintaining ongoing personal professional development and continuing education through a portfolio of post-enrolment learning.
Roxby Downs Health Service is part of the Flinders and Outback Health Services. Our health service is situated approximately 250kms north of Port Augusta. We have an accident and emergency service and general medical services as well as regular visits by a range of providers of health services.
You will be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With broad based general nursing experience, you will be capable of providing person-centred nursing care in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. Your effective verbal and written communication skills will enable you to work well within a multidisciplinary team environment.
