You will provide clinical nursing expertise and clinical leadership within the Adult Mental Health service. Providing direct, expert clinical nursing care, you will select and implement different therapeutic interventions, provide individual case management to consumers and evaluate their progress. You will be expected to work appropriately and in a culturally respectful way with consumers of the Mental Health Service and their families, where there are multiple complexities, diverse cultural backgrounds and expectations. You will have a significant degree of autonomy and decision making and will have the scope to coordinate and lead projects and programs that improve consumer outcomes. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or hold a qualification in Mental Health practice.  With demonstrated competence in mental health nursing in accordance with the relevant standards of practice, you will bring experience in the supervision of students, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses. Your strong verbal and written communication skills, along with negotiation skills, will enable you to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
