They were founded in the early 80's with two workers in a single room providing health services, including drug and alcohol counselling, while a Koori playgroup next door offered respite and social connection for parents of small children. The organisation is now recognised as a leader in Koori services, with over 200 staff delivering innovative, holistic, person-centred programs. Fuelled by their desire to see change in their community, its leaders identify community issues, design solutions and work in partnership with other welfare providers and government agencies.

About the Opportunity
Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS) has an excellent full-time opportunity for a personable Mental Health Nurse t o join their Social and Emotional Wellbeing team, based in Mildura, VIC.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing professional and confidential mental health services in a recovery framework to facilitate healing and improvements in the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
