Position

You will assist the Nurse Unit Manager in the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of evidence-based, recovery-oriented services in the Integrated Mental Health Inpatient Unit in the Riverland. Specifically, you will assist the Nurse Unit Manager in undertaking service management responsibilities, including performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management, financial and supplies planning and monitoring. You will accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others, and for the guidance and development of less experienced staff. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You must also hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in Mental Health practice. With demonstrated competence in Mental Health practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will also bring proven experience in management and leadership roles in a multidisciplinary team. This will be evident in your skills in the leadership, supervision and direction of student nurses, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses and Clinicians.
