In a role which allows you a high level of flexibility, autonomy and support by generous professional development opportunities, you will work as an Enrolled Nurse to provide safe patient centred nursing care within Cadell Training Centre. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will make decisions and take initiative to plan and complete nursing care tasks within your scope of practice, demonstrating knowledge and skill in assessment, care and routine procedures for area of practice. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will engage with patients to provide person centred care in a correctional setting. A team player, you will provide assistance to other members of the health care team in provision of care to individuals/groups, including overseeing the work of an AIN/M and students. In addition, you will provide education to patients, families and carers, whilst continuing own professional development, seeking learning opportunities and maintaining own professional development portfolio of learning and experience.
Enrolled as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. A resourceful and innovative individual, you will have experience, in the provision of nursing care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. Also required are excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, which will allow you to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
