Mental Health,   Nursing

Away from the hustle and bustle of a busy city lifestyle, you will enjoy working within a supportive work environment, applying your clinical experience, specialised knowledge and professional competence to provide nursing services in a variety of mental health service settings. Situated in Berri, the core focus of your role will involve assisting the Integrated Team Manager in contributing to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of evidenced based, recovery oriented services across the multidisciplinary Local Health Network (LHN) Mental Health (MH) service appropriate to the needs of the consumer and the local community. This will include providing proficient, person centred, clinical nursing care and individual case management to consumers in an inpatient mental health setting, monitoring consumer care plans and overseeing the provision of nursing within the team. In addition, you will undertake ward/unit/service management responsibilities.

Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practicing certificate together with a relevant postgraduate qualification in Mental Health practice. Essential to success in this role is considerable post registration experience and you will bring demonstrated competence in Mental Health practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. Passionate about making a difference, you will possess a proven track record in management and leadership roles in a multidisciplinary team, including the leadership, supervision and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses/clinicians. Good communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills are also required.

The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time. Applicants are encouraged to discuss the flexible working arrangements for this role.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
