Joining the Community Mental Health Team based in Clare, you will provide health education, counselling and therapeutic/rehabilitation programs to improve the health incomes of individual consumers or groups. Integrating advanced theoretical knowledge, evidence from a range of sources and your own experience to devise and achieve agreed consumer care outcomes, you will work with the team to attain consistency of nursing practice standards and local service outcomes. Applying your mental health nursing knowledge, skills and values, you will be working directly with consumers and their network and with the wider community to enhance recovery and self-determination in the least restrictive practice.
This position will be located in Lower North working from Clare office, however you may also provide education and clinical support across the Yorke and Northern Region. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You must hold a qualification in Mental Health practice. With demonstrated minimum of three years’ experience in working with mental health consumers and carers in an evidenced-based, recovery-orientated framework, you will be confident in working with and understanding people from varying cultural backgrounds. You will also bring the ability to work in a team framework that fosters and develops staff potential.
