Position

Making a significant difference to people's health, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute your knowledge and expertise to a dynamic community health organisation.  Situated in a beautiful coastal location in Port Lincoln, you will be responsible for assisting with the provision of professional high quality patient care within the ward/unit/service aimed at improving patient health outcomes. As part of a large general hospital where you will be exposed to a broad range of clinical services and specialties, you will provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing/midwifery care and individual case management to patients in a defined clinical area. You will contribute to the leadership of the unit/service by promoting continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Managers and the manager of the ward or unit, as well as undertake the human resource management of the unit/service through acting to resolve local and/or immediate nursing care or service delivery problems.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be capable of giving supervision to student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses. You will use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems.
