You will be responsible for the provision of direct, extended expert nursing care for individuals or groups of clients experiencing alcohol, tobacco and other drug use problems and harms. Providing intake and stability assessments and a range of activities for clients, you will review clients with compliance issues, provide interim prescriptions, facilitate change from methadone to Suboxone, and provide consultancy for nurses stabilising new clients. You will also provide comprehensive bio-psycho social assessments of health status including history and physical examination of clients experiencing alcohol, tobacco and other drug problems. Undertaking nursing care with autonomy and independent clinical decision making within the defined scope of practice, you will initiate and interpret diagnostic pathology and radiology where required.
