You will assist nurses with routine tasks associated with the activities of daily living for residents of the Aged Care section at Crystal Brook Campus. Providing person-centred care, you will perform a range of duties that require basic skills, knowledge, training and experience. This will encompass routine technical support functions at the level of setting up for nursing procedures, cleaning equipment and managing local stock levels. You will also contribute to the maintenance of a physically and culturally safe environment for residents and staff, and help contribute to relevant evaluative research activities through the recording and reporting of data. To apply for this role, you will be enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in nursing or hold a Certificate III or IV in a health related discipline, and have completed any training required by the employer relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level. Motivated and keen to learn, you will be able to follow instructions and possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience in the provision of personal care to residents within an Aged Care facility or supported accommodation service will be ideal. Importantly, you will be capable of working with older people where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds.
