Seeking new challenges in your career within a fantastic country community environment, you will be working as a Registered Nurse/Midwife, across multiple sites in the Flinders and Upper North Region. An interesting and diverse position in a stunning regional area where you will gain a variety of experience in a number of Rural and Remote Health Units, you will provide direct person centred nursing or midwifery services to patients in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time. Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess individual patient needs, plan and implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options, as well as plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs. Contributing to procedures for effectively dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours, you will participate in evaluative research activities within the practice setting. You will be based at the Port Augusta Hospital; however, you will be required to rotate between a number of different Health Services including Hawker War Memorial Hospital, Quorn Health Services, Roxby Downs Hospital and Whyalla Hospital.
Registered as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. It is essential that you have proven competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. You will be a strong relationship builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to interact with people from all walks of life. Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting, you will possess good problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
