A stimulating and highly rewarding role has arisen for an enthusiastic and adaptable Clinical Nurse to join South East Regional Community Health based in Mount Gambier. A rare opportunity not to be missed, you will gain rural and remote learnings and the ability to broaden skill base across many modalities of care. The core focus of your role is the provision of proficient, person centred, clinical nursing care and individual case management to clients in a defined clinical area of Continence and Stoma management. You will be responsible for monitoring client continence care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved, as well as provide health education, counselling and/or therapeutic programs to improve the health outcomes of individual clients or groups. You will be required to, within pre-determined guidelines, and in a multidisciplinary primary health care setting, assess clients, select and implement different therapeutic interventions, and/or support programs and evaluate progress.
Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate with notable post registration experience. Tertiary qualifications in Continence or other modalities of Nursing is required, and you will hold or be prepared to work towards a relevant post basic qualification in Continence. A strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, you will have the ability to deal appropriately and relevantly with children, youth, women and men and where there are multiple complexities, diverse cultural backgrounds and expectations of clients. You will bring to the table demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, combined with the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting.
