Position

Using your clinical knowledge and expertise in medical imaging to provide high quality care, you will support the Nurse Unit Manager in day to day operational management and leadership within the imaging service. You will play a key role in imparting clinical knowledge to support and develop other staff in the service in developing high level skills. You will also assist the Nurse Unit Manager in undertaking unit management responsibilities, including performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management, financial and supplies planning and monitoring.

As part of a state-wide service, you will have the ability to work at other SA Medical Imaging sites. With state-of-the-art facilities, the Lyell McEwin Hospital is fast becoming a major tertiary facility. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You must have advanced and well-rounded Medical Imaging experience, including interventional ultrasound, CT and angiography. You will also possess a sound understanding of safety, quality and accreditation standards and applications to medical imaging practice. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be confident in supporting staff through change management practices.
