Working on a casual basis under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will assist with providing high quality person-centred care to patients at Meningie Hospital. Maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team, you will implement appropriate nursing care and assist with general and specialised procedures from nursing care plans. You will plan and prioritise your own work program to achieve defined outcomes and exercise judgment when it is required to solve problems arising in your work area. You will provide verbal and documented information within your scope of practice to patients, other health care team members, and members of the public, and contribute to your professional expertise by maintaining ongoing personal professional development and continuing education through a portfolio of post-enrolment learning. Make a real difference and feel like an important part of the community. Being part of Country Health SA means you will be supported both personally and professionally, can take advantage of education and training opportunities, will have access to flexible working hours and be part of an inter-professional approach to holistic health care.

You will be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With nursing experience within the boundaries of your education and skill preparation, you will be capable of providing nursing care in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. Your effective verbal and written communication skills will enable you to work well within a multidisciplinary team environment.
