Position

You will provide mental health nursing services in a variety of health service settings within the South East Regional Community Health Service. Your role will be predominantly clinical in nature, and you will work within a multidisciplinary primary health care setting to assess consumers, select and implement different therapeutic interventions and support programs, and evaluate progress. You will accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others, and contribute to the guidance and development of less experienced staff. Country Health SA Mental Health embraces strength based approaches and the principles of positive psychology, and aims to be a flourishing mental health service that impacts meaningfully and positively on the community it serves. Employees of Country Health SA receive access to professional development opportunities, salary sacrifice arrangements and may also be eligible for relocation support.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or hold a qualification in Mental Health practice. With prior experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses, you will bring the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a mental health setting. Your strong communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will equip you to work effectively with clients with multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds.
