Position

As a member of the Community Mental Health Team, you will provide community mental health services to individuals, families, groups in the Whyalla and Outreach communities. Applying your professional knowledge and providing written/verbal advice on the results of interventions, you will be involved in all facets of direct client service delivery. This will include assessing consumers, selecting and implementing different therapeutic interventions and support programs, and evaluating progress. Monitoring consumer care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis, you will be a consultant to other service providers on Mental Health issues. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or hold a qualification in Mental Health practice. Demonstrating experience in Mental Health nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will be committed to providing consumer and family-centred care. You will work well within a multidisciplinary team environment and be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a mental health setting.
