  • Part-time (0.6 FTE) 2 Year Fixed Term and base salary $104k pro-rata p.a plus superannuation

 

About the opportunity  

We are in a period of exciting and significant investment in our Faculty of Medicine and Health and in order to deliver on the University’s ambitious strategic plan, we are looking for a registered nurse with a critical/intensive care and education background for the education-focused role of Lecturer in Critical/Intensive Care Nursing.  You will teach in pre- and post-registration courses in Sydney and take on unit of study coordination responsibilities and also contribute to faculty service, for example in a student advisor role. You will engage in scholarly activities related to pedagogical practice. 

This part time position is currently based at our Camperdown Campus with some flexibility in relation to work days. 

About you

  • current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • postgraduate level qualification in critical care nursing
  • deep and broad experience in teaching and learning in a tertiary environment, as evidenced by participation in team teaching within an established program and experience in teaching in a variety of settings
  • demonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives
  • a developing network of relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders
  • demonstrated capacity to stimulate, actively engage and educate an audience using a range of media.
  • a PhD or Master of Philosophy or enrolled in either or equivalent
