Position

Using your clinical knowledge and experience, you will provide pivotal coordination of patient care delivery to rehabilitation patients at the Modbury Hospital. The main focus of your role will be the line management, coordination and leadership of nursing care to achieve continuity and quality of client care. Undertaking a combination of client care, team leadership and resource management, you will coordinate the Rehabilitation Service’s Quality & Safety Programs to meet service and accreditation standards. You will provide a direct line report and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships within all members of the health care team. Accountable for the outcomes of rehabilitation nursing practice, you will address inconsistencies between practice and policy and develop team performance and a positive workplace culture in the interest of client outcomes.

Modbury Hospital is a 164-bed acute care teaching hospital that provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to the North-Eastern suburbs community. A teaching hospital of the University of Adelaide, Modbury Hospital has been servicing the community for over 30 years with dedication and pride. The Hospital is now tailoring its services to meet the needs of the ageing population in the area through rehabilitation, aged care and palliative care.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. Demonstrating a broad range of nursing experience and competence in accordance with appropriate standards of practice, you will possess effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation. These skills will equip you to foster a work environment that develops staff potential and facilitates creativity and innovation.
