In this pivotal management position, you will lead the delivery of proficient, person-centred, clinical nursing care within Northgate House. Ensuring appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis, you will consult with the Nurse Unit Manager in matters relating to clinical care outcomes as appropriate. These may include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring. Utilising your mental health nursing skills and knowledge, you will support and work collaboratively with less experienced members of the nursing team. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or hold a qualification in Mental Health practice. With experience in Aged Care and Dementia Care Nursing, you will be skilled in working with people with an enduring mental illness. This will include working collaboratively with families, carers and consumer representatives within an interdisciplinary environment.
