Position

You will provide and coordinate individualised, high quality mental health nursing care to aged care residents of Northgate House. Ensuring support and comfort is made available to all residents to achieve an optimal level of independence, you will also see that the emotional needs of residents are met. You will provide and coordinate quality comprehensive contemporary assessment, care planning and evaluation practices, working collaboratively with other staff to identify and improve the nursing, personal care and life style/activity needs of residents with a focus on positive ageing, healthy ageing and wellbeing. You will need to be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated experience in Aged Care and Dementia Care Nursing, you will have experience in working with people with enduring mental illness. A team player who can work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary environment, you will be effective at working together with families, carers and consumer representatives. Creative, innovative and flexible, you will bring the ability to be responsive to internal and external customers and advocate when necessary.
