In this pivotal position, you will work collaboratively with Midwives within the Ceduna District Health Services providing direct care to Maternity clients. Promoting continuity and consistency of care, you will contribute to the implementation of practice changes and service delivery. Utilising your midwifery skills and knowledge, you will support and work collaboratively with less experienced members of the midwifery team. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in Midwifery, you will be capable of giving supervision to student Midwives and less experienced Registered Midwives. You will use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate midwifery care problems.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
