Offering exceptional self and professional development opportunities, you will thrive in this friendly and supportive work environment working as a Safety, Quality and Risk Co-ordinator. Using your clinical knowledge and experience, you will support the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of safety and quality systems to improve the quality and safety of Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) services. In this key role, you will provide a leadership function to ensure optimum patient outcomes through monitoring performance, identifying, assessing and managing risk, monitoring of incidents and adverse events; facilitating clinical audit and supporting quality improvement. You will be responsible for driving organisational capability for quality systems in line with organisational strategic direction and for facilitating organisational and divisional readiness for accreditation.

For appointment at the AHP3 level, you must have an appropriate Allied Health degree or equivalent qualification which entitles full registration with the appropriate board or gives eligibility for the membership of the professional association. For appointment at the RNM3 level, you will be a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate. With demonstrated experience with implementation of the National Safety & Quality Standards for Health Services, you will have the proven ability to coach and supervise staff to undertake incident investigation using agreed methodology. Furthermore, you will have the proven ability to apply risk management principles to the clinical environment, as well as experience in leading teams to identify, assess and manage risk.
