Position

As the Registered Nurse within our Haemodialysis Units based at Noarlunga Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre you will provide evidenced based care to acute and chronic haemodialysis patients.  In this role, you will be expected to continue developing clinical skills and keeping up to date with professional standards of practice and quality management initiatives consistent with organisational policies. You will be working with patients and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds, recognising and responding to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately.

Your role will include providing supervision of Students, Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses and maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team. 

It is essential that you are registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or are eligible to hold a current practicing certificate with demonstrated competence in Renal nursing in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.  It will be beneficial if you hold qualifications relevant to Renal Nursing.  You will have effective communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.  With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.

Multiple vacancies exist.  For part-time roles, salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
