You will maintain a coordinated approach to optimal treatment of patients with HIV and viral hepatitis in collaboration with all relevant staff in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Able to provide an expert consultative and liaison service, you will liaise with primary care providers, community services and the Department of Health with respect to the implementation of best practice HIV and viral hepatitis patient care. Acting as a hospital and community resource for information and education relating to HIV and viral hepatitis, you will develop systems to monitor key indicators of best practice, clinical outcomes and client satisfaction in the viral hepatitis and HIV clinical services at FMC.
Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. Post registration experience is essential, as is experience in the management of clinical and psycho social aspects of HIV and/or viral hepatitis infection. You will have proven competency in the use of computerised information systems, as well as demonstrated skills in data analysis and interpretation. With broad knowledge of contemporary clinical and psychosocial issues pertaining to viral hepatitis and HIV infection, you will develop and deliver education programmes targeted to patients, their families and partners and a range of health care professionals.
