Position

You will be responsible for the state-wide provision of high level child and adolescent Respiratory Disease care and advice, acting as an expert resource for patients, families, health care professionals, educational institutions and the community across South Australia. Working in consultation with key stakeholders, you will implement and coordinate a comprehensive state-wide plan to ensure effective service delivery and efficient management of children and adolescents with complex respiratory disorders requiring home respiratory support and treatment interventions. These conditions include those related to prematurity, chronic and complex lung diseases and also Asthma. Respiratory transition to adult services will also form an integral part of this role.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. Demonstrating experience in working with children with complex respiratory needs, you will have proven ability for flexibility, innovation and creativity within the whole of service setting. Prior experience in leading and promoting consumer engagement initiatives will hold you in good stead for this role, along with highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
