Position

You will provide clinical nursing expertise and leadership for Residential Aged Care (RAC) Commonwealth-Funded sites in the area of Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI), Aged Care Assessment and Documentation. Striving to improve outcomes for care recipients, you will ensure the correct level of ACFI is applied to each individual care recipient. Utilising your aged care nursing experience, you will provide education and knowledge to nurses working within the aged care environment and ensure consistency across the South East region in regards to assessment packs and validation. You will also play a role in developing sustainable systems to ensure the region meets its financial targets. Where required you will work in partnership with key stakeholders (external and internal) and work collaboratively with General Practitioners in the region. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in aged care nursing practice within Residential Aged Care facilities in accordance with the relevant standards of practice, you will have prior experience with Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) uplifts. You will also have a proven track record in the supervision of students, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses. Working well within a team environment, you will display strong leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
