Position

You will provide clinical leadership for Residential Aged Care (RAC) Commonwealth-funded sites around Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI), Aged Care Assessment and Documentation. Coordinating and leading ACFI and contributing your clinical expertise to improve care recipients outcomes, you will ensure the correct level of ACFI is applied to individual care recipients. You will also provide education and knowledge to nurses working within the aged care environment, ensuring consistency across the Riverland Mallee Coorong region in regard to assessment packs and validation. You will develop sustainable systems to ensure the region meets financial targets, undertake clinical protocols and standards development, and work in partnership with key stakeholders (external and internal) and work collaboratively with General Practitioners.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated experience with ACFI, you will have proven competence in aged care nursing practice within RAC facilities. You will display strong leadership and management skills, including experience in the supervision of students, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses.
