You will assist with the provision of high quality person-centred care to residents of the Kara House Aged Care facility in Clare. Undertaking comprehensive assessments and associated documentation, you will plan, implement and coordinate appropriate care from a range of accepted options. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual residents or groups. It is expected that you will provide support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing care in Kara House. Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence within a Residential Aged Care setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will have effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within an aged care setting.
