You will work in partnership with the Medical Director, Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Division and be jointly accountable for the strategic and operational leadership of the division. Making a significant contribution to the achievement of Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) strategic objectives and South Australia’s Health Care Plan, you will develop service plans and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by working with the Chief Executive Officer and the NALHN Planning and Performance Council. You will also be jointly accountable for holding and managing the divisional budget, and utilise your clinical knowledge and experience to provide strategic leadership, governance, and direction to nursing staff within the Division.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) provides care for around 341,000 people living in the northern metropolitan area of Adelaide as well as providing a number of state-wide services, and services to those in regional areas. More than 3,800 skilled staff provide high quality patient care, education, research and health promoting services.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. In addition, you will have proven experience in a senior clinical leadership role, including the planning and provision of health services and applying contemporary management processes and practices in a health care setting. Your highly developed skills in communication will equip you to establish and maintain productive working relationships, and engage in high level problem solving and complex project management.
