Position

You will assist the Nurse Unit Manager in the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of evidenced based, recovery oriented services across the multidisciplinary Mental Health Service appropriate to the needs of the Adelaide Hills community. Your role will encompass service management responsibilities such as performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring. Promoting continuity and consistency of mental health care provided to mental health consumers, you will monitor consumer care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis. You will need to be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or hold a qualification in Mental Health practice. With demonstrated competence in mental health nursing, you will have prior experience in management and leadership roles in a multidisciplinary team, including the leadership, supervision and direction of student nurses, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses and clinicians.
