The main focus of this role is the line and the day to day management, coordination and leadership of the Drug & Alcohol Services SA (DASSA) multidisciplinary team activities for a range of community based services. Working within the Central Service at Stepney, you will ensure continuity and quality of client care and promote a commitment to excellence including planning, implementing and evaluating services to ensure optimum output and that services complement the DASSA strategic plan. Accepting accountability for the outcomes of multidisciplinary practices in community based services, you will address inconsistencies between practice and policy and develop team performance and positive work cultures in the interest of client outcomes.

Undertaking a combination of community based service delivery, team leadership and resource management, you will represent DASSA on State, regional and local committees and working groups, as well as initiating, leading and participating in the development and review of DASSA and Community Services administrative and clinical procedures.

For appointment at the AHP3 level, you will have a degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work or Psychology and have membership of the relevant professional association. For appointment at the RN4 level, you will be registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold a current practicing certificate. You will have proven experience in working with people with high and complex needs including comorbidity, child abuse and family violence.

In addition, you will have high level skills in management (including HR and financial) and leadership roles, and familiarity with developing policies and procedures.
