You will assist and support the Nurse Unit Manager with the day to day functioning of the Eudunda Senior Citizens Hostel. Participating in management, clinical and education activities, you will assist the Nurse Unit Manager with performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management, financial and supplies planning and monitoring. Planning and coordinating services including those from other disciplines, you will act to resolve local or immediate nursing care or service delivery problems. As part of your role, you will also undertake assessment, evaluation and ongoing support and care of residents in the residential aged care facility.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. Prior experience in Aged Care is desirable, along with experience with ACFI, Leecare and Care Evaluations. Your effective leadership skills, including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving conflict resolution and negotiation, will hold you in good stead for this role. Knowledge of Quality Improvement Systems as applied to a hospital setting will be highly regarded.
