Joining our supportive team within a friendly and welcoming rural unit, you will assist with the provision of professional high-quality midwifery care. The successful applicant will be able to work across the continuum of antenatal, birth and postnatal care, including care of the sick neonate. Specialist obstetric and paediatric support allows both complicated and uncomplicated births from 34 weeks gestation.
Working primarily as a Registered Midwife in a maternity setting, you may also be involved in the care of paediatric patients. Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team.

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in in the relevant area of midwifery practice and demonstrating the ability to care for women in labour, you will have effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a rural healthcare setting.
