As a Registered Nurse at the Women's and Children's Hospital, you will deliver high quality clinical care to patients and their families using evidence based practice. Contributing to high quality clinical service provision, you will assess, plan, implement and coordinate care/appropriate service delivery options aimed at improving patient health outcomes. You will develop clinical leadership skills and contribute to the nursing/midwifery services for the unit/ward/service to attain consistency of practice standards and local service outcomes. In addition, you will actively participate in quality management, quality assurance, evaluative research activities and risk management activities and ongoing improvement of services.
Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. With demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing / midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will bring a strong commitment to providing a quality service to consumers/clients. Reliable with the ability to organise and manage own workload, you will bring the ability to meet set timelines, whilst working under minimal supervision or work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Well developed written and verbal communication skills will hold you in good stead for this role. Previous paediatric experience is highly desirable but not essential.
