As a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will be responsible for providing direct person centred nursing/midwifery care and individual case management to patients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area.
In this key role, you will assess individual patient needs, plan and implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies, in addition to providing health promotion and education, to patients or groups and carers to improve the health outcomes of individual. With increasing autonomy over time, you will participate in quality improvement activities that contribute to patient safety, risk minimization and safe work activities within the practice setting.
Registered as a Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. With sound knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting, you will have proven competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. Relevant experience within Operating Rooms is highly desirable. Proactive with good problem solving skills, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the work environment. This position will be suited to a strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills who thrives in a multidisciplinary team setting.
