Position

Suited to an individual with leadership qualities, the core focus of the role of a Nurse Unit Manager is the line management, coordination and leadership of nursing/midwifery and/or multidisciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient care and outcomes. You will integrate contemporary information and evidence with personal experience to support decision making, innovative thinking and objective analysis, and provide pivotal leadership and coordination of patient care delivery to achieve continuity and quality of patient care and outcomes and efficient patient flow. In addition, you will draw on your expertise to implement and coordinate processes for quality improvement and ensure the efficient management of resources with due diligence.

Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. Your extensive experience in management and leadership roles together with the proven ability to foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential will be critical to your appointment to this role. You will have a demonstrated track record in the leadership and facilitation of change management, reflecting the ability to effectively promote consumer engagement initiatives. A confident communicator with highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation, you will bring the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and lead by example.
