A role that offers the capacity to grow and enhance your skills set, you will be the Nurse Unit Manager, Residential Aged Care, providing the pivotal leadership and coordination of patient care delivery in a defined ward/unit/service/program to achieve continuity and quality of patient care and outcomes and efficient patient flow. You will integrate contemporary information and evidence with personal experience to support the decision making, innovative thinking and objective analysis that are expected at this level. In addition, you will contribute to the development of, implementation of, and monitoring of corporate policies and processes and lead in your area of expertise.
Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. With notable post registration experience, you will have demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and/or midwifery practice in accordance with the relevant standards. Strong leadership abilities will reflect previous experience in management and leadership roles, and you will bring highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation. Able to review and improve models of care to be person and family centred, you will have the ability to lead and promote consumer engagement initiatives. Sound knowledge and understanding of the Australian aged care quality association standards will also contribute to your success in this role.
