As an Enrolled Nurse at Port Pirie Hospital, you will make decisions and take initiative to plan and complete nursing care tasks within your scope of practice. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will engage with patients to provide nursing care, demonstrating knowledge and skill in assessment, care and routine procedures for area of practice. You will provide care and education to patients, families and carers, whilst contributing to own professional development, by seeking learning opportunities and maintaining own professional development portfolio of learning and experience. In addition, you will contribute to research as appropriate. Enrolled as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. With well-developed organisation skills, you will possess notable experience, within the boundaries of your education and skill preparation, in the provision of nursing care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. With demonstrated ability to work with people with a range of diverse value systems, cultural differences and needs, you will have excellent communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Also required is sound knowledge and understanding the role of the Enrolled Nurse within the health care setting.
