ABOUT THE ROLES We currently have the following positions available at SummitCare St Marys on a casual basis: Registered Nurses will be responsible for delivering quality resident care in accordance with the individual needs of residents, and for the coordination of aged care staff. Assistant Nurses will be responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day individual care needs of the residents are met and maintained, under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse. You will work to a high standard of practice to collaboratively deliver care and support that promotes client choice and control, allowing clients to direct their own care and support in line with the agreed individual care and support plan. ABOUT YOU To be successful, you will have: Completed a Bachelor of Nursing and Current Registration with AHPRA; or Completed a Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support (Aged Care) Experience working in Residential Aged Care (minimum two years' experience) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent customer service skills and solid understanding of Client Directed Care A strong ability to work independently and as a member of a diverse team Proficient and competent in a range of clinical skills relevant to your profession Strong ability to achieve goals within the set time frames Sound understanding and knowledge of best practice principles relating to Work Health and Safety, Infection Control and Incident Reporting A current Criminal Record Check It will be advantageous if you also have: Completed a First Aid certificate or qualification in Dementia or other relevant aged care course Working knowledge of the aged care Accreditation Standards & ACFI Well developed computer skills Willingness to develop skills in line with current care and support practices relevant to aged care How to apply We look forward to receiving your resume and a cover letter outlining how you meet the criteria in the description above. About the role An exciting opportunity is now available for a Registered Nurse to join the vibrant SummitCare HomeCare team. This position will initially be on a casual basis with a view to permanent part time . We are seeking a passionate nurse who is passionate about supporting older people in the community. As the Registered Nurse/Case Manager, you will be responsible for building strong customer relations, providing compassionate care in a nurturing and supportive home environment, completing in-home care assessments and client documentation. As part of this role, you will often be required to travel to and from client homes. You will report to and backfill the General Manager as needed, and work within a small dedicated and collaborative team based in Baulkham Hills. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and current registration with AHPRA Current Class C NSW Driver’s Licence and current criminal record check Knowledge and understanding of the Home Care market and Aged Care operating environment Proactive and innovative with exceptional customer service and communication skills Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set time frames and work efficiently to meet deadlines both independently and as part of a team Proficient and competent in a range of relevant clinical skills including the composition of comprehensive clinical care plans Willingness to mentor and support a wider team Experience as a Registered Nurse working within the Home / Community Care sector is highly desirable How to apply We look forward to receiving your resume and a cover letter outlining how you meet the criteria in the description above.
