About the Opportunity Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) now has a rewarding opportunity for a Sexual Health Project Officer to join their team in Broome, WA. This role is being offered on a part-time basis, up to 76 hours per fortnight. Reporting to the Population Health Senior Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating a new initiative aimed at increasing testing and treatment of sexually transmissible infections (STIs) and blood borne viruses (BBV), within remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The project is aimed a t developing and delivering culturally appropriate community education, to increase health literacy and knowledge on STIs and BBVs prevention, and improving clinical outcomes related to testing and treatment of STIs and BBVs. To be considered for this position you will hold tertiary qualifications in medicine, nursing, epidemiology, public health or another health qualification relevant to Aboriginal health priorities.
