Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital
is one of Western Australia’s largest acute, tertiary teaching
hospitals. With 621 staffed
beds, including 88-day patient beds and 49-beds available off site for
medical rehabilitation and Care Awaiting placement patients.

nursing, from tertiary to community nursing

is committed to the development of a skilled and professional nursing
workforce and offers an extensive education and professional development
program. Through our Centre
for Nursing Education we provide a range of nursing education services
including:
Graduate
Registered and Enrolled Nurse Programs – these programs are
designed to facilitate the transition between the academic setting and the
work place
Registered
Nurse Acute Care Clinical Development – provides a link between
transition programs and postgraduate studies.
The program aims to assist participants to establish a pathway of
ongoing clinical and professional development.
Post
graduate studies in: Emergency Nursing, Critical Care Nursing,
Nephrology Nursing and Neurology Nursing.
The focus of these programs is the development of advanced
knowledge and competencies relevant to the speciality.

We
also provide a comprehensive ongoing education programs with a range of
short courses, with Clinical Nurse Specialists in all ward areas and Staff
Development Nurses who support our nurses in the development of bedside
clinical skills. We believe
the education and development programs we offer set the standard in
Western Australia.
If you are considering coming to the West it would
be well worth your while paying us a visit, we offer extensive orientation
to all new employees, as well as flexibility in working conditions.
We have full time, part time and causal positions
available to suitably qualified nurses.
We are also able to offer sponsorship for up to 24 months, on a
temporary business visa for Registered Nurses.
